The aim of this exercise was to introduce students to the creation of spatial configurations couple to the Space Syntax theory and its tool of spatial analysis using the Space Syntax training program. (Tutorial) Here the students were asked to created, departing from a 3x3 cells squared grid, two spatial configurations with seven cells each. No function or use were assigned to the spatial configuration. One should have only one access and the other two. Students were asked to do the convex breakup, the relational graph and justified graph of each case and to analyze the differences between them. Afterwards they performed the axial line analysis of the two access spatial configuration and draw two isovist (with Google SketchUp) from two axial lines crossing point.
