Overview

Desarrollo de la Competencia Lingüística del English II is one of the fourth-semester core courses of the English and French major in the Education undergraduate program. Although the concentration of the subject is on reading, writing, and grammar skills, listening and speaking are not overlooked. 

In this course, students are exposed to literary and expository texts about which they have to produce compositions. They also have the opportunity to see and analyze two films and design activities based on them. Some of the teaching/learning strategies used in this class include but are not limited to reading and discussing a text, summarizing, composing written texts, reflecting on writing, sharing ideas, and developing a presentation.
